Our Vision

Political science delves into the study of government, public policies and political behaviour. It is a social science which uses both humanistic perspectives and scientific methods to study, analyse and explain political phenomena. With the advent of globalization, there has been a concomitant rise in the interest taken by the people of the world in understanding the political systems of other countries. Hence, political scientists become valued and important as they provide the lens through which we can understand the global and domestic political phenomena. The knowledge of Political Science is essential and useful to both rulers and the ruled. The knowledge of state, its origin, nature and functions are of great significance to modern man. As Political Science is said to be a science of statesmanship and leadership, the administrators, political leaders and diplomats, who conduct the affairs of the state also require a sound knowledge of Political Science in order to perform their functions with efficiency. Besides, Political Science makes people vigilant citizens by making them conscious of their rights and duties and eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. There is a wide range of careers for the students of Political Science in government, non-government organizations, legal field, mass media etc.
