Remedial Coaching
The objectives are:( 1). to improve academic skills and linguistic proficiency of the students in
various subjects;(2). to raise their level of comprehension of basic subjects to provide a
stronger foundation for further academic work and(3). to strengthen their knowledge, skills
and attitudes in such subjects, where quantitative and qualitative techniques are involved so
that proper guidance and training provided under the programme may enable the students to
come up to the level necessary for preparing for final examination as well as for pursuing
higher studies efficiently.
Steps adopted for slow learners are special coaching class, discussion, counseling ,
enhancement of communication skill , examination and mock test .Steps adopted for advanced
learners are discussion, use of reference books, class test or examination. Students were
benefitted as it appeared after result was declared by the University of Gour Banga.
