So, with huge amount of reporting, advertisement assignments to the students and practical work they got motivation to do more work. They have documentary film making, radio documentary, and loads of research work regarding development communication as their practical study which needs proper communication with the masses. As because this subject is fully professional based so practical work was included in their syllabus.
All these practical work are field based, and while doing these the students grew a better understanding of their surroundings as well as regarding news reporting, research work, ad making, editing, film making, PR,, news reader, acting. Again with the increased number of students, need arise for another faculty in the department. So in the year 2014 with loads of grooming sessions, extra classes, practical classes, sometimes counseling(students, & their parents) in the parent teacher meet both the students and their parents both had a wide vision regarding this subject.
The relationship of the teacher and students is like friend, philosopher and guide. The relation is very close because at times the teacher has to play the role of their parents thus not creating any barrier between the two(teacher &students). Thus the communication process goes on very smoothly between the teacher and the students, which always motivates the students to pursue their carrier in long term.
And now many of our ex students are well established in various field as reporter (ABP, Bartaman, Uttor Banga Sambad, Sun Bangla), one has his own news agency named as Press Agency, as a well versed actor, theatrical personality, ad maker, film maker(internationally approved), as a teacher, one has her own production house(malda), as medical representatives, government employee. The strength of the department is the students, and they make this field brighter with their own capability, sincerity, and immense hard work, and loads passion thus making this department a successful one and leading and motivating others in this field.
